• 登记

  Any group of students may organize and request status as a registered Hamline University organization. All student organizations must be registered through 学生活动 and 领导力发展. 一旦注册, student organizations can also apply to be 宪章ed through the Hamline 本科 Student Congress. 更多的 information on the 宪章ing process is available below.

  注册过程

  1. 提交一个 New Student Organization Request (Google Form)
  2. Meet with the Director of 学生活动 and 领导力发展

  Upon approval, the organization will be included in the 学生组织目录.

  • Serve a unique function on campus; requests for redundant organizations may be denied
  • Provide the names of at least three Hamline students that will serve as officers of the organization
  • Identify and provide the name and contact information of a faculty or staff advisor
  • Comply with all university policies

  Every recognized student organization (宪章ed and non-宪章ed) at 新葡新京app是 required to have a faculty or staff member as an advisor. 顾问扮演着重要的角色, assisting with activities as well as with organizational development issues. As organization members come and go, the advisor serves as an anchor to the university community. They have knowledge of the organization’s past successes and challenges, as well as University policies and procedures. They help ensure the long-term continuity of the group as student leadership changes.

  It is recommended that an advisor attend at least one organizational meeting a semester and help with the training of new officers. The advisor must be a Hamline faculty or staff member. If you are having difficulty in finding and advisor, contact 学生活动 and 领导力发展 at sald@315gdc.com.

• Becoming a 宪章ed HUSC organization

  Once you've registered with SALD, you may want to become 宪章ed with HUSC. Becoming 宪章ed allows student organizations to request funding from 学生活动. In addition to the general requirements of all student organizations, 宪章ed organizations must comply with the following requirements: 

  • Have at least 10 members at all times.
  • Establish a constitution which must be passed through HUSC's Political Affairs and Student 组织 Committees. HUSC's Student 组织 Chair will provide detailed constitution requirements to organizations requesting 宪章s.
  • Comply with Hamline 本科 Student Congress policies.
  • Provide activities and/or services that are open and accessible for the entire campus.

  • Send at least one representative to all Student Organization meetings hosted by the HUSC Student 组织 Committee Chair.
  • A 宪章ed organization cannot exist solely to support a political 候选人. Political organizations cannot financially support any party, 候选人, or political action committee with their budget. A detailed account of the 宪章ing process can be found in the HUSC bylaws.

• 撤销

  撤销 of a group's registered status can occur upon the continued irresponsible use of the benefits listed above or violation of University policies. No Hamline group may discriminate on the basis of 性, 比赛, 年龄, 性取向, 能力, color, 或者种族起源.
